SuitabookThe fallen star
Tracey Hecht
- Reading
- You could read a chapter at a time and pause to gather clues or predict what might explain the illness. The book also includes an animal glossary and book-club questions.
- Themes
- Working together to investigate: Dawn, Tobin and Bismark investigate the poisoned pomelos and seek answers and a cure as animals fall ill. The friends’ joint investigation is presented as the way the group responds to the crisis, supporting a bounded positive reading of teamwork.
- Worth knowing
- Poisoned fruit and illness among the forest animals are central to the danger. Tobin also becomes sick; consider whether that kind of peril may feel intense for your reader.
