Terms of Use
Effective 24 September 2026
These terms govern use of the current Suitabook controlled MVP, including public book guides and personalised account features. Account holders expressly accept these terms when registering. If you do not agree to them, do not create an account or continue using the service.

Adult accounts
You must be 18 or over to create a personalised Suitabook account. Accounts are intended for parents, guardians and other adults authorised to manage the relevant family information.
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure, providing accurate and reasonably current registration information, and ensuring that information you add about a child or family is information you are authorised to provide. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
What Suitabook provides
Suitabook provides book information, contextual analysis and personalised reading guidance to help an adult make a reading decision. It does not decide what a child should read.
Guidance can be incomplete or mistaken and is not educational, medical, psychological, legal or safeguarding advice. Check important points yourself where they matter to your decision.
Public book guides can be explored without an account. Personalised features depend on the profile information and evidence available at the time.
AI-assisted guidance
Suitabook uses AI-assisted systems to support book analysis, evidence synthesis and parts of its guidance workflow. AI-assisted material can be incomplete, outdated or wrong and should be read together with the guide's sources, confidence and limitations.
Suitabook does not guarantee that an AI-assisted review, theme classification, content flag or personalised suggestion will identify every detail that matters to a particular family. The parent or guardian remains responsible for the final reading decision.
The service is provided for general informational and educational guidance. It does not replace the book itself, parental judgement or professional educational, medical, psychological, legal or safeguarding advice.
Controlled MVP and availability
The service is still being tested and may change. Features can be corrected, paused or removed where necessary for security, privacy, reliability or product testing.
Suitabook does not promise uninterrupted availability, that every book will be covered, or that every guide will have the same level of evidence.
A low-confidence or partial guide can still be published where it offers useful supported context. Missing information remains unknown rather than being invented.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to access another family's information, bypass access controls, interfere with the service, submit malicious instructions, scrape the service at a disruptive rate, or use Suitabook to harass or unlawfully profile another person. Do not use automated means to systematically extract, reproduce or republish substantial parts of the catalogue or guides except where applicable law permits it or Suitabook has given written permission.
Do not upload passwords, payment-card details, a child's contact details, school name, medical diagnosis or other unnecessary sensitive information into reading-profile or support free-text fields.
Book content, sources and intellectual property
Book titles, covers, publisher material and other third-party content remain the property of their respective rights holders. Suitabook's own interface, explanatory copy, structured guidance and branding are protected by applicable intellectual-property rights.
You may use Suitabook for personal and family reading decisions. These terms do not grant a right to republish the catalogue, bulk-copy the guides or use the service to build a competing dataset.
Trials, subscriptions and payments
The current product has an agreed 15-day no-card trial policy, but the live paid subscription journey is not yet activated. The existing sandbox price is a test hypothesis and is not a live offer.
Suitabook will not charge you unless a live paid offer is separately made available and you explicitly opt in through the released payment flow.
Suspension and deletion
We may restrict, suspend or end access where reasonably necessary to protect people, private family information, the service or other users, to address unlawful or abusive use, or where these terms are materially breached. Where practical, we will take a proportionate approach and allow a reasonable opportunity to correct a remediable problem.
Account and family deletion controls are available subject to ownership rules designed to prevent one adult from silently deleting another active owner's family data. Ending an account does not remove rights or obligations that by their nature should continue, including intellectual-property protections and lawful retention requirements.
Liability and consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Suitabook's guidance is informational and should be considered alongside the adult's knowledge of the child, the book itself and the sources and limitations shown in the guide. We do not promise that a guide will identify every theme, sensitivity or circumstance relevant to a particular child.
To the extent permitted by law, Suitabook is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you accepted these terms or for loss caused by using the service for a purpose outside ordinary personal or family reading decisions. Nothing in this paragraph removes a remedy that applicable consumer law gives you.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and any non-contractual dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Subject to any mandatory consumer right to bring proceedings elsewhere, the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in another part of the United Kingdom, any mandatory protections and court rights available where you live are not affected.
