SuitabookAdventures of Venus
Gilbert Hernandez
- Reading
- Try one story at a time, letting the everyday episodes and imaginative ones stand on their own; pause after the forest story if your child wants to talk about it.
- Themes
- Everyday activities and imagination: The stories include reading comics, playing football and other ordinary kid activities, alongside imaginative adventures. The short comics move between familiar activities and imaginative adventures.
- Venus’s crush: Venus schemes to get the cute boy she likes. Venus’s crush and her plans to win over the boy are part of one story.
- Worth knowing
- One story has Venus walking through a scary forest; another has her catching measles.
