- Reading
- If horror imagery is a concern, read together at first and pause after tense sections to check how the scenes are landing; the amount of gore is not described.
- Themes
- Hope and the possible cure: Benny and his friends pursue a scientist who may have found a cure, while the reapers also seek it. The cure gives the mission a possible hopeful purpose, but the plot information does not establish how the story ultimately treats its use.
- Worth knowing
- Expect zombie-horror peril and gore. A friend is described as hovering between life and death, and the threat includes using zombies as shock troops.
