- Reading
- Enjoy the illustrations together and invite your child to notice details or imagine what might come next, without needing to settle on one explanation.
- Themes
- Everyday errand turned adventure: A little girl's ordinary shopping trip becomes a journey through a blizzard, desert, jungle and across the sea. The trip is framed as a grand adventure in the child's eyes, making imagination the clear lens for the change from routine to extraordinary.
- Worth knowing
- The journey includes a blizzard, desert heat and tropical beasts. These are presented as parts of a fanciful expedition; consider whether those images might feel intense for your child.
