- Reading
- Try one week at a time, allowing space for the question and activity rather than treating the book as a continuous story. Read alongside the child if discussion would be helpful.
- Themes
- Christian faith as guidance: The book invites children to immerse themselves in God's Word, recognise their value to Jesus and consider faith as a way of navigating life. The book presents this favourably.
- Looking beyond outward appearance: The book encourages readers to consider that Jesus sees value beneath outward appearance and says readers can do likewise. The idea is framed as a Christian practice of recognising deeper value in oneself and other people.
- Worth knowing
- The book directly presents Christian claims as guidance: readers are encouraged to see themselves as valuable to Jesus and to let faith shape how they understand life and other people.
