- Reading
- You can pause to talk about which power they would choose, without needing to finish the book first.
- Themes
- Friendship and problem-solving: Max and Finlay are described as best mates who must help Hercules and face repeated challenges, with one superpower available at a time. The setup places friends in a shared problem-solving situation, but does not show how their relationship or decisions are portrayed.
- Worth knowing
- Expect a focus on smelly animal waste, plus a challenge described as terrifying and a horrible surprise. The extent of suspense or how graphic the unpleasant material becomes is unclear.
