- Reading
- Try reading together for the first encounters with the quest's dangers, then check whether the level of peril feels comfortable. You can pause to talk about the companions and their decisions.
- Themes
- Courage, integrity and honour: These values are named among what Alex learns during his adventure. The values are present as themes, but their treatment and any difficult choices are not described.
- Friendship: Alex joins a band of adventurers, and friendship is named as an important part of his adventure. Companionship is part of the premise, but the way friendships develop or are tested is not established.
- Worth knowing
- Dangerous trolls and bandits, undead wraiths and an evil dragon feature in the quest. If peril or supernatural threats are unsettling for your reader, consider checking how these encounters are presented.
