Original Book on Book Dash: Brave Bora (opens in a new tab)- Reading
- Pause before the injection scenes and let your child describe what they notice. If clinic visits feel relevant, invite questions without promising that every visit will be the same.
- Themes
- Bravery and reassurance: Baba stays with Bora and reassures him; Bora delays, then accepts the injection after a lollypop is promised. The story treats facing the injection as brave, while allowing Bora to express fear and discomfort.
- Worth knowing
- Needles and injections are central to the visit; Bora hesitates and cries out when he gets one. The story also depicts a lollypop promised as a reward for bravery.
