- Reading
- Use the maps and activities as pauses between stops: invite your child to trace the route, then choose one place or historical reference to explore further together.
- Themes
- Arizona as a guided tour: Mr Geo visits several named places in Arizona as part of a state-by-state journey. The book frames Arizona through travel and a mixture of geographical, historical and popular-culture material.
- Worth knowing
- The itinerary touches on the Navajo Nation and historical themes including a Wild West town and Spanish explorers. These topics may invite questions about whose perspectives are represented.
