SuitabookCatty Jane who loved to dance
Valeri Gorbachev
- Reading
- Pause when Catty Jane rejects the other dancing, then compare her view with what she notices at the party. This can keep the conversation focused on changing one's mind without treating ballet as wrong.
- Themes
- Different ways to dance: Catty Jane first treats ballet as the only true dance, then joins friends whose dancing includes jumping and tumbling. The story's resolution supports the idea that people can enjoy dance in different ways, rather than presenting ballet as the sole valid form.
- Worth knowing
- Catty Jane dismisses Froggy's moves and the party, and the two sit in angry silence for a time. The disagreement is brief in the described plot.
