- Reading
- Try one tale at a time and pause to look at the illustrations or talk about an unfamiliar animal. Let your child choose whether to continue or return to a favourite.
- Themes
- Folktales and animals: The anthology brings together seven traditional tales featuring common farmyard animals, with each story said to come from a different country. The collection’s range is clear, but the individual stories’ messages or treatment of their characters cannot be determined.
- Worth knowing
- Pay particular attention to Folktales and animals.
