SuitabookThe unleashing of Ren Crown
Anne Zoelle
- Reading
- As this is book four, consider whether your reader would enjoy starting with an established cast and ongoing magical-world developments; reading earlier instalments first may help with continuity.
- Themes
- Ren’s injuries and recovery: In the opening, Ren receives magical treatment for fractured ribs and a gash after a dangerous outing; friends check on her while she recovers. The scene gives concrete attention to the physical aftermath of danger and to Ren’s need to rest, without making recovery seem instantaneous.
- Worth knowing
- The opening includes fractured ribs, a gash, magical healing and references to negative magic impacts; Ren also recalls undertaking a rescue despite the possibility she might not return.
