- Reading
- Read a short section together and pause at a pun or an outlandish idea. Invite your reader to explain what is funny, then continue at their pace.
- Themes
- Being tricked over pie: Meatball fools Mac and Mac out of their fair shares of apple pie. The trick and the unfair division are part of the comic premise, but how the story judges or resolves them is unclear.
- Worth knowing
- A friend tricks the brothers over their shares of apple pie. If unfairness between friends is a sensitive topic, you may wish to check how that moment is presented together.
