- Reading
- Read together at the decision points, letting your child choose a route and discuss what they expect. If the bandit encounter concerns you, follow another branch or preview that section first.
- Themes
- Friendship and care for pets: The reader is unsure about leaving Homer and Zogg when Janice invites the reader to Paris, while the pets have their own plans. The premise puts a friendship invitation alongside concern for pets, but does not show how the dilemma is resolved or judged.
- Worth knowing
- One possible Paris adventure involves fighting bandits on a riverboat. The extent or intensity of this fictional conflict is unclear, so check the relevant branch if that content matters to your child.
