- Reading
- Try the opening together, then let the reader continue independently if the mystery feels manageable; check in about the dogs’ situation as it unfolds.
- Themes
- Investigation and suspicion: Hannah investigates the disappearance of dogs after her dog-walking business leads to her being treated as a suspect. The plot makes suspicion part of the obstacle Hannah faces, but does not establish a broader judgement about how suspicion is handled.
- Worth knowing
- The mystery involves dogs being taken and Hannah being suspected. The level of danger to the animals, and how distressing these events become, is unclear.
