- Reading
- Read together if useful, pausing when the planetary attacks or threats to the family arise. Invite your reader to describe what the images and story make clear, and what remains uncertain.
- Themes
- Trust and possible betrayal: Luke Skywalker, described as a close friend, may become the group’s greatest foe. The book leaves its stance open to more than one reading.
- Protecting family amid conflict: Han and Leia face external threats while struggling to protect the future of their unborn child. Han and Leia’s effort to protect their child places family responsibility alongside the wider war.
- Worth knowing
- The plot includes attacks on entire planets, a price placed on Han and Leia’s heads, and danger to their unborn child. Consider whether these threats are comfortable topics for your reader.
