- Pause at each picture and invite your child to match the person’s actions or tools to the job title, then discuss any unfamiliar occupations.
- Themes
- Work and occupations: Relatives and siblings are shown performing a range of jobs, and the closing text says they love their work. The book presents this favourably.
- Who does which jobs: Women and men appear in varied roles, including women as a police officer, pilot, teacher and pediatrician, and men as a farmer and chef. The examples broaden the mix of people shown doing different jobs, though the book does not explain its choices or make an explicit point about gender.
- Worth knowing
- The final statement says the characters love their jobs, presenting work positively; the book does not explore job difficulties, choice or whether every occupation suits everyone.
