Original Book on Book Dash: Wiggle Jiggle (opens in a new tab)- Reading
- Read the refrains with a lively rhythm, pausing to let your child predict repeated words. Let them lead the picture-talk, especially when the creature’s appearance changes.
- Themes
- Change into a butterfly: The creature enters a cocoon and later declares that it is a butterfly. The story uses a fanciful transformation as part of its playful adventure; it does not explain the process as factual information.
- Worth knowing
- There is a brief, prominent poo moment: the creature calls its poo magic and says it makes plants grow. This is presented humorously rather than as an explanation.
