SuitabookAkiko on the planet Smoo
Mark Crilley
- Reading
- If a complete resolution matters to your reader, consider reading this alongside the next book in the series: this story ends abruptly, with the rescue quest still largely unfinished.
- Themes
- Learning to lead: Akiko is reluctant to take charge, but is put in charge of the search and shows courage and leadership. The adventure presents her leadership and resilience as notable strengths.
- An unfinished quest: The story cuts off abruptly during the rescue mission, with little of the quest completed and the action at a lull. The book functions as an opening instalment rather than a complete resolution of the rescue plot.
- Worth knowing
- The adventure includes prolonged cartoony violence involving sky pirates and video-game-style monsters, as Akiko’s team searches for a kidnapped prince.
