SuitabookStealing Christmas
Matthew Sullivan
- Reading
- If Santa jokes matter in your household, check your child’s comfort with that before reading. Otherwise, the Christmas caper can be a starting point for chatting about what makes a team work.
- Themes
- Teamwork in the caper: After the cousins lose their presents as punishment, Mitch gathers them for an attempt to retrieve the gifts. Working together is presented as a practical requirement for their plan, rather than as a stated moral verdict on the heist.
- Worth knowing
- The premise includes a Thanksgiving food fight and presents taken away as punishment. The book includes a couple of jokes about Santa Claus that could affect a child who believes in him.
