SuitabookTales from Watership Down
Richard Adams
- Reading
- Read a story or section at a time, pausing to distinguish rabbit folk tales from events involving the Down’s familiar characters. Check in after the Black Rabbit adventure if its tone feels intense.
- Themes
- Warren leadership: Hyzenthlay is appointed female Chief Rabbit and partner to Hazel. The story includes a female rabbit taking a leadership role, but the overview does not explain how the appointment or partnership is treated.
- Worth knowing
- The overview mentions a “terrible encounter” with the Black Rabbit of Inle and an “obsessive” doe affecting the warren. Their full scenes and intensity are not clear here.
