- Redemption: Redemption is named as part of the story’s central concerns after the characters’ choices and sins. The book’s stance on this remains unclear.
- Worth knowing
- The premise includes children vanishing, mind-reading, erased scenes, stopped time, stolen power and deals with the devil. These supernatural and unsettling elements may be worth checking against a reader’s preferences.
