- Reading
- Check whether the reader knows The Magic Thief and Lost before starting. Because Found’s events and ending are not established here, read alongside the child and pause to clarify returning characters or ongoing conflicts.
- Themes
- Continuing a fantasy series: Found is identified as the third Magic Thief book, after The Magic Thief and Lost. The first book involves magic, an apprenticeship and threats to a city’s magical power. The book’s stance on this remains unclear.
- Worth knowing
- The wider series includes magic, apprenticeship, theft, danger and attempts to protect a city’s magical power. These elements are documented for the first novel, so their presence or intensity in Found should not be assumed.
