Erin Hunter - Author
This is a series fantasy mystery built around a disputed leader, accusations of disloyalty and a supernatural identity crisis. Its main appeal is likely the combination of clan politics, investigation and looming conflict between rival groups.
After losing one of his nine lives, ThunderClan's leader, Bramblestar, is intent on rooting out and exiling codebreakers—cats he claims are traitors to the warrior code. But some cats know the truth: something went wrong when he lost a life. This isn't the real Bramblestar, and his true spirit is desperate to return to its rightful place ...before the rising tension among the five Clans erupts into outright war. ---------- **Books in this arc** 1. Sign in for personalised guidanceThis is a series fantasy mystery built around a disputed leader, accusations of disloyalty and a supernatural identity crisis. Its main appeal is likely the combination of clan politics, investigation and looming conflict between rival groups.
Bramblestar intends to identify and exile cats he regards as traitors to the warrior code.
Some cats believe that the figure claiming to be Bramblestar is not the real Bramblestar, whose spirit is desperate to return.
Tension among the five Clans may erupt into outright war as the dispute over leadership and alleged codebreakers develops.
The central tensions include the loss of a life, threatened exile, accusations of betrayal, uncertainty about possession or identity, and the possibility that conflict between the Clans will become war.
This is a grounded book brief while Suitabook strengthens the analysis: the book’s treatment of its main themes is not yet firm enough; some draft conclusions still depend on unresolved evidence.
