Sign in for personalised guidanceA gentle story about hesitation, feeling left out and discovering enjoyment in play. Lion’s repeated expectation that he will lose gives way to joining the others, though the change begins with an accidental slip.
Lion is shown sitting sadly while the others swim without him. His slip on a banana peel is played for laughter, and he appears happy afterwards; the scene includes a comic fall.
This is a grounded book brief while Suitabook strengthens the analysis: the book’s treatment of its main themes is not yet firm enough.
