Five boys regarded as misfits or nerds work together to investigate changes at their school.
A vice principal frames the boys and makes forgiveness conditional on passing difficult tests.
Pay attention to how the book handles the boys’ confinement, the vice principal’s alleged scheme, references to bullying and the language around intelligence. The eerie school setting may be worth discussing with a sensitive reader.
This is a grounded book brief while Suitabook strengthens the analysis: some draft conclusions still depend on unresolved evidence.
