The zoo animals say they want to be free; Lulu responds by taking them home and later imagining another place for them.
The animals’ wish to be free is central, while Lulu’s plan creates a comic problem when a bear will not fit in the bathtub. The animals’ return to the zoo is part of the plot.
This is a grounded book brief while Suitabook strengthens the analysis: the book’s treatment of its main themes is not yet firm enough; some draft conclusions still depend on unresolved evidence.
