An impostor and Squirrelflight’s disappearance leave the five Clans suspicious, while the rescue requires decisions about whom to trust.
A Dark Forest cat is described as willing to help the protagonists rather than join Ashfur, and some Dark Forest cats receive a more positive or neutral treatment.
Expect peril involving trapped spirits, a rescue mission and at least one significant death. The story also includes fear, suspicion and uncertainty about leadership, loyalty and which characters can be trusted.
This is a grounded book brief while Suitabook strengthens the analysis: some draft conclusions still depend on unresolved evidence.
