Carrie Sellon - Author
This is a comic adventure about resourcefulness, friendship and family loyalty, set against the pressure of possible eviction. Magical potions and their possible use in the pizza shop set up energetic slapstick, while the story gives serious subjects space without presenting humour as belittling them.

Pete and his father face losing both their flat and pizza shop because money is owed.
The story combines serious themes with magical mayhem and comic incidents.
Pete and Anna find magical potions and consider adding them to pizzas to attract customers.
The story includes possible loss of home and business, money owed on rent, mental health, bullying, magical mishaps, a fire-breathing dog and an exploding headteacher. The comic framing may soften, but does not erase, these pressures.
This is a grounded book brief while Suitabook strengthens the analysis: another book-specific source is still needed.
